Variety Show

Canossa goes Broadway

by: Emerey Ralph P. Racoma

In line with the 54th Foundation Day celebration, Canossian talents shine once again as they feature Broadway on the Variety Show.

Two performances were presented on the 9th and 11th of February, respectively. The program began with the National Anthem, followed by the doxology of selected Primary students of “Let there be Peace on Earth” sang by Aron Sierva and Jazleen Villamor with a sand art interpretation by Gwyneth Querijero (Grade 11 – St. Josephine Bakhita). An acrostic about Broadway was recited by selected Pre-school and Primary students.

Songs from the hit Broadway shows namely, “The Producers”, “Annie”, “Cats”, “Singin’ in the Rain”, “Hairspray”, “Evita”, “Cabaret”, “Grease”, “Wicked”, and “The Sound of Music” were performed by the Mater Dei Youth Choir and Canossa Dance Club.

The show would not be possible without the guidance of the directors, Ms. Rosemarie Atienza, Mr. Joseph Caguimbaga, Emerey Ralph Racoma, and Emmanuel Gallego.
