After several years: Canossians, namely John Rufo O. dela Peña (Gr. 8 – St. Matthew) and Julyanna Adriene de Villa (Gr. 2 – St. Angela) have brought pride to the school, once again, in their respective international competitions in Mathematics.

Rufo dela Peña, was awarded with Silver Prize in the 13th International Mathematics Competition held in Singapore last August 4 to 7. He was just one of 245 medalists and 11 merit awardees from the Philippine Delegation in the said competition.

Meanwhile, Julyanna de Villa received a Merit Award from the 2017 International Mathematics Wizard Challenge held last May 19-23 in Xiamen, China.

de Villa and dela Peña, together with 4 more winners of the 13th International Mathematics Competition from Calamba City, had their courtesy call with the Division Schools Superintendent, Dr. Rosemarie Torres last August 17. Dr. Torres congratulated the winners for their meritorious contribution to Calamba City’s academic sector. She even added that the school is not the only one that must proud of them. The city, province, and the whole region must be very proud of them because of their remarkable performance for the country.

The students’ participation with the above mentioned competitions would not be possible without the commendable support from the school, the city government, and the Mathematics Trainers’ Guild of the Philippines.
